3 records spinning pretty much

Dzjenghis Khan: "S/T"
Punked up garage rock ala MC5 with a hint of early Cream. Dirty and raw production. Lots of balls and no horseshit. Crank it up and get turned on.
OM: "Pilgrimage"
Another great record from OM. Some songs are really cool and the vibe is as usual. I like to listen to this one a lot. Properbly well know to most - they are the new mainstream ;-) - DL >>
Black Mountain: "In the Future"
Well, this one finally hit me for real. I must have had my head up my ass, since I didn't recognice this as a masterpiece at first hand. But it is. The songs are so cool. The drowsyness, the laidback vibe and the courage to make music like this stands out like nothing else in the future (sorry for the crapwords there, but it's true ...)

Roadburn Festival
Long time, no see - or something. Bought some records (surprise), went to some shows (another surprise) and drank some beers (no way!). Of interest was the Doomed Denmark show at Dragens Hule with Graveyard. Freaking night with the newsters Psychwalks of Eternal Karma that were given the chance to play outside of their usual youthclub communitive. They did well, but had difficulties with the singing - the voises were simply not strong enough for their big sound. Graveyard kicked ass and so did Highway Child. Anyway, this was about Roadburn. Well, a fucking long story, so to cut it short: Fly to Amsterdam, find hostel, buy AK47 skunk, get really stoned, visit a couple of bars, go to bed. Train to Tilburg, find hotel, get food, go to the festival, Great music, great vibe, great everything. Friday, saturday and sunday went on as well. Okay except for the sunday that ended high on E and we were locked out of the hotel and the friday high on shrooms and wandering around staring at buildings. Anyway, back to A-dam monday and hang for the day before flight at night. Cool new bands to me: Diagonal, Taint, Danava, Zone Six, Beehover Lived up to the expectations: Baby Woodrose, Assemble Head, Electric Orange, Gave me more than expected: Litmus, Groundhogs, Gentlemans Pistols, La Ira de Dios, Earthless, Acid Mothers Guru, Graveyard, Dzjenghis Khan, Ramesses, The Glasspack, Orange Sunshine Below average: Capricorns, Boris, Witchcraft, Grand Magus Pure shite to me: Serpent Cult, Blood on the Sun, Trouble, Cephalic Carnage, Repomen Stuff I didn't see: Well, the rest by diffent reasons - or I only saw a few songs, or I don't remember ... I'm in love with Holland ...

Three more records to go ..

Boris: "Smile"
At first I found this record really strange and I didn't really like it. Then after hearing it a lot of times I think it's genious - simply genious. These guys are marvelous, and I hope they will play like this when the visit Copenhagen the next time. DL >>
Atomic Workers: "Embryonic Suicide"
I've writtenabout AW before. Their second album "Wall of Water Behind Me" took me by surprise. This first one is more acid drenched and ends with a long really freaked out insto song. It's a great band of Italians with Gary Ramon of Sun Dial doing some guitar, sitar and stuff.
Howlin Rain: "Wild Life"
Recently Howlin Rain released their second album "Magnificent Fiend". This is two jams out on Three Lobed Recordings as part of the "Oscillation III" series. And with Ben Chasny and Utrillo Kushner on board this is more Comets on Fire than the last record. The two jams are almost 15 min each! The first is great with nice vocals - the second is more so-so and a little bit too much without direction. But a cool release. DL >>
