LowCut and Det Knuste Øre - Best of '08

We had a little get-together last night at the Radioshow. X-mas lunch and playing some great music of ´08. Bongz brought two small bottles of Snaps and Mrtin brought some Brennivin. Jens had made frikadeller and all was nice and cozy. Later Tobias dropped by with some old records he had bought in '08. Anyway, we had a good time and the few listeners could witness us getting more and more drunk and disorderly. Music was mixed together and put on and off while the mics were open for cheering and shouting. Great night! All radioprograms should be like this.

KYUSS Live - SBD/AUD Matrix

The guitar in the soundboard source was a little too low, but the second source was good to balance the recording.

Thanx a lot to Kyuss (incl. The incredibe Hutch), Pavemalk and myself :). Hope that you enjoy this great show. Never shared before. Guess you can call it a world premiere. There are some tiny little digi noise on the soundboard source a few times, but nevertheless the recording is very, very good.

Don`t ever sell this or you will burn in hell ! This is a recording from fans for fans ! Don`t convert to lossy formats ! Keep the quality !

Thanx to the band for giving us the permission to tape. Take Care Bobfather

DON-UH-VUH ... aha!?

"Although Danava (pronounced DON-UH-VUH) play the type of ferociously intense, foundation-rattling, rock and roll that might righteously justify some good old fashioned head-banging, vocalist Dusty Sparkles wants you to know that he doesn’t consider his band a metal outfit. Nor are they prog-rock, or part of whatever ridiculous, wonky sounding “movement” someone just came up with to try to lump a bunch of disparate bands together."

World's best Add - or just sexploitation

"Only the Danish could get away with something like this (but how great would it be to see Amazon do commercials like this). Danish ecommerce site Fleggaard recently made the commercial below. I don’t know if it was shown on Danish television (I’m trying to find out), but I wouldn’t be surprised." - Michael Arrington

Rise Above Anniversary Show

Wow, what a killer show in God damn London. Bongz and I met up with Nanna and Martin at some pub before the show. It was fucking raining and quite a trip from Copenhagen. Anyway, we had a Guinnes and went for the show. Long que outside the venue, but we were soon in. The geeks used 15 min in another que to get the Electric Wizard limited whatever 12" only to be sold at the gig. But then up in the bar and some more beers. The venue called Ulu was quite cool and there was no trouble having 700 people in.

First band finished and second band was soon on. That was Serpentcult and they play kind of pop-doom with a female singer. Not that good and we had all seen them before at Roadburn. So off to the cloakroom and out for a smoke and then back in for another beer.

Third band was Litmus and I had really been looking forward to see them again. Saw them at Roadburn but was so lame I hardly remember anything apart from them being great. They played a nice set of their Hawkwind meets Pink Floyd music - completely spaced out. Then of for beers and cigarettes in the rain. Damned London ... the rain was pouring down like showers.

Anyway, next on stage was mighty Moss. Wow, one guitar but two guitar amplifiers and a bass cabinet. Quite hynotizing heavy doom with a hounted vocal. The other dudes loved it, but in the end it was a little boring - sorry, just a bit ...

Then the same, same again. Toilet, cigarettes and beers. The stageshifts was really effective and soon Diagonal's seven piece band was on stage. This was maybe to be the highlight next to the great wizard later and we waited like little children at x-mas eve. And then they hit the first note and everything was right. Man, oh man, them Diagonal is a killer band. Psychedelic proggy stonerrock so fine, so fine. This was heaven for a musicfreak and therefore their set lasted way to short.

Gentlemans Pistols was next. I had to go and get some cash and met some guys smoking a spliff. Had a little and bought some weed from them. Cool guys, love you dudes! Nanna went off to the ladies room to fix a joint and we enjoyed the pistols and their dirty fucking great riffing. The band was in fine form and the energy judt filled the room. Great vibes - and great songs.

We only saw little of Taint as we had to go through the routine of toilet, cigarettes and beers once again and ended hanging in the bar. Anyway, they were pretty cool, but not overwhelming as last time at Roadburn. Then off we went to get some food. And then we found a telephone box and smoked the joint. That was fun, four people in a telephone box and having a smoke of weed. Then toilet and beers and back in front of the stage. Grand Magus was almost finished and then we waited ...

... and then the Wizard came on stage. Wow, the room was packed and everybody was exited. This was the kings of doom standing in front of us - and thet were to deliver. The riffs was heavyer than heavy, the sound was compressed to the max. Everything was simply perfect and they lived up to my very great expectations. Fantastic band! The set closed with a very long version of Funeralopolis that almost made the whole room fall in psyched-out trance. One of my best experiences ever!

Then we went out and had a beer at some bar. Took the sub to Victoria Station and Bongz and I spent the rest of the fucking night waiting to get home with the first plane in the morning - quite shitty way to end this great night. Anyway, London is fucking stupid closing all the pubs when two stupid danes are gonna spend the night ... ;-)

Such Hawks, Such Hounds ... Chip in

***HELP US RELEASE SUCH HAWKS SUCH HOUNDS***

Nearly three years after the start of production, Such Hawks Such Hounds is readying for a long-awaited DVD release. Director John Srebalus (that's me) and Co-Director Jessica Hundley have financed the film solely through our own contributions. We've now exhausted all possible sources and are far short of the funds needed for licensing, mastering, authoring and manufacturing -- the final set of expenses that will bring this thing in for a landing. We plan to self-release the DVD in January, again with our own money... and hopefully yours.

PLEASE HELP WITH A DONATION. No amount is too small. All contributors will be listed in the film's end credits. Contributors of $45 or more will receive a copy of the DVD. (Make sure your PayPal account info includes a shipping address.)

Wow, Night Horse is yet another great 70's inspired grandious band - and some kind of offspring from Ancestors. There's the track "Wicked Love" for DL at Tee Pee website - go get ...

But the really cool news is that Weird Owl is now under the wings of Tee Pee and that their out-of-print debut album will be released in february. That is nice news, since this was only possible to get as MP3 download.

Black Mountain - Live

Just found this little gem:

"Vancouver B.C. buds Black Mountain, lead by Stephen McBean, create quite a buzz with their heady brew of languid vocals and acoustic guitar strumming, fuzzy lead guitar licks, synth stabs, tribal hand drums, and mellotron. We won't bogart it, have a taste yourself. Recorded live on KEXP.-A. Boyd" Listen Here >>

Pleasent sounds from Israel

A couple of years have passed in which 3 the principle creators of Lemmus Lemmus have been writing, composing, and playing around with arrangements. Re-joined by vocalist Eliya Scemama (who teamed up with Lemmus Lemmus on the 1st album), bass player Tsoof Philosoph, & drummer Or Barnea - the band went into the studio for a new adventure. And so, after a long period of extensive recordings, new exciting soundscapes have started to emerge. Additional sounds have been contributed by Benny Dgubas on sitar, Smadar Peleg on flute, & Zohar Cohen with his Mellotron.
