Rock 'n' Roll Monkey and the Robots - Back to Beatsville
Rock N' Roll Monkey and the Robots obviously dig kitschy 60's sci-fi stuff and retro mechanical toys. But what they also like is to make shakin' cool psycho-pop in the vein of B-52's with lots of twang and surf feel. Inspirations may also be the Cramps take on psycho-whatever with their b-movie twist. All songs are damned catchy and makes your feet twist. I would like to say that this band could be the new saviours of alternative pop.This is great stuff - weird - but groovy.

Crystal Antlers Freak Show
Wow, what a thursday night. I left late and were completely sober when I arrived for the last two songs by The Good, The Bad. They had improved for sure delivering some stoned out garage surf. Quite cool, but not what I had come for. No, I came for the Californian freak outs Crystal Antlers. Now could they live up to my expectations? Ohhh, yes! They delivered one of the most acidious freak out show in a long time. Damn, psychedelic music IS the best ...

DRONE - New Psychedelic Club
The indie club Apparatet is closing down - well, who cares?, that club were never really interesting anyway. The good news is, that there's gonna open a psychedelic rock club instead. The agenda seems pretty allright with all the cool neo-psychedelic bands mentioned on music list. The future will tell if this is just gonna turn into another mainstream club with a little twist of harmless hyped psych or they are gonna hit the right spot. Anyway, this place is just across the street so I hope it's gonna be a cool place. We'll see ...
Opening night will feature the band Death Valley Sleepers with strong influence from BJM and so on - and 300 liters of beer! Only downer is, that it's the same night as awsome kick-ass harmfull On Trial plays Studenterhuset. Yeah, psyccchhhedeliccccaaaa...

Triumph 2000
Maybe, just maybe, some of the weirdest music I've heard in a long time. Great, very great indeed. Don't have a clue about what kind of "style" or genre this is, but it's totally cool. Psychedelic, repetitive, groovy electrostuff of some kind.

Pink Mountaintops - New Album
"Pink Mountaintops, the slightly more mellowed-out solo project of Black Mountain frontman Stephen McBean, are set to release their (his?) third album. Jagjaguwar will put out Outside Love on May 5. A whole gang of Beam's friends in the Canadian underground rock mafia showed up to contribute, including Black Mountain members Amber Webber, Matthew Camirand, and Joshua Wells, as well as Jesse Sykes of Sweet Hereafter fame and A Silver Mt. Zion's Sophie Trudeau.
At the moment, Bean's only got one live show lined up, at the All Tomorrow's Parties Festival on May 8 in Minehead, England."

Aguas Tónicas - Nuevo disco
The extremely cool Argentinian dudes of Aguas Tónicas has a new record out soon. You can hear what they've been cooking up at their MySpace site. It's a first much more mellow and laid back than their pervious outing. Cool stuff! There's something completely hypnotic about South American neo-psychedelic music that I love so much. I guess it's the positive approach to life in general - or whatever ... I only guess!
