69 - the book about Ungdomshuset

This book is out today and I bought it on my way home at RepoMan Records. Really cool and there's even a pic of me from the opening back in '82. Quite funny as I also was at the opening of the "new" Ungdomshus some weekends ago now. I'm an old bastard! The opening of the new Ungdomshus was crazy. Met up with other old bastards from Gammeltorv at Floss. Then off to the new house. Thousands of people and we ended high on cryst MDMA. Very strange evening/night and I kind of returned to earth 5 oclock in the morning in the bar talking to some girl, but couldn't get the hang of anything anf finally gave up and got a cap home.

There's an article by Morten Vammen i today's Information called Subkulturens Blekingegadebande. You ned a subscrption to read it online, which is fucked and not very "socialistic". Anyway, I'll steal the shit later today since my girlfriend is a weekend subscriber - maybe she's kind of a weekend subversive woman ;-)

EDIT: It's now public, no need for subscription. And btw, the article is about a group of former punks that gathered at Gammeltorv in downtown Copenhagen and a recent concert held at Rockmaskinen at Christiania. Anyway, it's actually the only Danish Newspaper worth reading - and yes, it's darn red.

Rockmaskinen, Gammeltorv, Spild af Tid

Tomorrow we will reunite once again for a special concert at Rockmaskinen. The venue hosted the very first punk gigs in Copenhagen back in late '70s to early '80s. It have been closed down for more than 25 years as an open venue. My old band Spild af Tid have rehearsed something like five times for this great event - in something like five different contallations!?! We have not rehearsed once all five of us present at the same time, so it's gonna be fun tomorrow ...

Other bands will be ADS, Bollocks, IJ-X and Duck Soup. Supposed to be a secret gig for old friends and no advertising. But when the news about ADS being reunited was out lots of people is suddenly interested - off course because of Stig being in D:A:D and Lars was a long time member of Sort Sol. Gonna be strange to see whats gonna happen. We were the anarchists and fuck-ups banck in the day, so nobody except for the real ex-punks care about us - nice!

Jalaflakast in Hell ...

Oh yeah, christmas time again. And once again time for the christmas lunches! This year I went to three of them - one bad and two very nice ones. The first was with my work at Marathon Sport (yes, I once was a pretty desent long distance runner!). That one was awful. We went to something called Tappehallerne at Tuborg. Bad food, bad entertainment and terrible 3447 other people.

Next up was at Lowcut held at the old collective called Helvede (Hell) where JT lives. Great evening with nice food, good music and great people. And I got so druk I had to drag my bike home because I was afraid to crash if I tried to get on it.

The last one was the legendary Jalaflakast at Galle's home. All the old people from Gammel Torv (hang-out place for the punks in the 80's). Once again great food, great entertainment and great people. Three bottles of snaps made us go mad and Lars and I went of to see good old President Fetch at Christianshavns Beboerhus. Well, we turned up too late, but had a great night anyway being really, really stupid and annoing.
