Psych is the new black

There's an article in the Danish newspaper Politiken about the new wave of psyche in Denmark. Yes, well come again - they also wrote about this new wave two years ago in Berlingske Tidende - and there was this story in Mojo mentioning Causa Sui some years ago. Anyhoo, read it - not much new, but that's just journalism - jump the wagon ...

Serena Maneesh - New Old New Stuff

Emil is back! It's been a while, but there's some new old stuff released. Old songs in new mixes and stuff. Pretty porno and trancy. A new-new limited 7" vinyl EP with other remixes will be out medio november on Bad Afro and the band is recording a new-new-new full length album at the moment.

Support Stengade 30

The cool venue Stengade 30 is having serious financial problems. They might have to close down. That would be a disaster since Lades is also having problems payin the rent downtown near Strøget in Copenhagen. Maybe Cph will loose two venues for the alternative rock! Damned country - the danes sucks for mainstream stadium rock and no good danish pop.

Gennifer Moss - 'Earth Friend Gen'

Hmmmmm, the Danish online newspaper Ekstra Bladet had an article about this crazy freeky woman riding around on roller skates naked and stuff. Funny thing though is, that this was about her riding around naked in Portland, Oregon. It also stated that the police just told her to put on some clothes and all she did was to put on a thong - that was it!? Really - I was there just a few weeks ago man! The city also allows people to have public sex (well, not true!) and to ride a bike naked acording to Ekstra Bladet. Well, I thought that we - the Scandinavians - were free minded. I stand corrected!

PJ Harvey is the Queen of Rock ...

... at least to me she is. I just love that woman more than any other woman in rock. The news is - if you didn't know - that she and John Parish will record another album in 2008. The first was mighty fine and the concerts held and recorded was nice. Now I just hope for another collaboration with Josh Homme - well, I wish! Anyway, this is just an oppertunity to post a video with the female cameleon ...

The Royal Highness calls it quit

Then there is no more The Royal Highness. Too bad as Lasse Jonsson had just resently joined them and I had expected a lot from his side. Anyway, they were a quite cool band playing a mix of relaxed stoner-rock and Soundgarden - especially the vocal were so much Chris Cornell'ish.

The last songs they recorded can be downloaded from this location: Ce N'est Pas Un Album

The muscians will keep on rocking in other constellations. Lasse is of course still heading The Hors D'oeuvres and they will record their second album soon. And if you like them, they will gig with swedish Deville at Gimle on feb. 9th.

Thomas Broge Starck will continue with some kind of semi-acoustic noise rock called Saint Augustine and singer and drummer Dennis Kasten and Mads Valther will do some fock/country stuff.
