Distance Don't Matter

"In October 2009, NYC artist Swoon and five friends came to Portland, Maine, and transformed SPACE Gallery into a playful, dreamlike, earth-hued environment. This video shows the installation process and the opening reception of this breathtaking show, and gives a glimpse into the artists' visions that inspired their work."

Pink Snowflakes

I actually bought their album "Sun Chasing" last year when I visited Portland. But this is the first time I'm really getting into it.

DON-UH-VUH ... aha!?

"Although Danava (pronounced DON-UH-VUH) play the type of ferociously intense, foundation-rattling, rock and roll that might righteously justify some good old fashioned head-banging, vocalist Dusty Sparkles wants you to know that he doesn’t consider his band a metal outfit. Nor are they prog-rock, or part of whatever ridiculous, wonky sounding “movement” someone just came up with to try to lump a bunch of disparate bands together."

Portland Bridges

I was really fascinated by the brides in Portland as we ran a tour by the river. Two rounds of about 4 km and underwent most of the bridges, crossed two of the on each round and therefore saw them from many angles. I was therfore pleased to find this site specialised in photos of them nice bridges. Take a trip here >>

Gennifer Moss - 'Earth Friend Gen'

Hmmmmm, the Danish online newspaper Ekstra Bladet had an article about this crazy freeky woman riding around on roller skates naked and stuff. Funny thing though is, that this was about her riding around naked in Portland, Oregon. It also stated that the police just told her to put on some clothes and all she did was to put on a thong - that was it!? Really - I was there just a few weeks ago man! The city also allows people to have public sex (well, not true!) and to ride a bike naked acording to Ekstra Bladet. Well, I thought that we - the Scandinavians - were free minded. I stand corrected!

Mary's Club - Portland

Okay, I went to Portland for the Hood to Coast relay. That went well and I'll write about it some other time. The day after we went out to town and after a cool dinner at Jake's Place and a couple of beers at Ash Street Saloon we ended up at Mary's Club - well, it's US and some of the guys just had to hve a lap dance - so they did. Great fun watching pole fitness ...

Hood to Coast Relay - The Mother ...

I'm goint to run the Hood to Coast Relay in Portland, Oregon in two weeks. It's gonna be fucking great. 317 km starting at Mt. Hood and ending in Seaside at the coast. Our Marathon Sport team is being sponsered by Nike Denmark and we will stay for a whole week at Hotel Lucia in Portland. I have already tried to find some concerts at venues in Portland and some cool record shops using Jack Endino's guide to the north west.
