Sky Picnic

"With a love of music and a penchant for exploration, punctuated by elaborate and intense live performances, Sky Picnic bridges the gap between experimental and straight-forward music. Laden with creative songwriting, solid musicianship and a vintage, yet modernized feel, each Sky Picnic performance stands out as a one-of-a-kind musical trip that blurs the lines between music and art, with experimental instrumental breaks full of feedback, echoes and endless exploratory possibilities."

Danish Shoegaze

"Echoes and silhouettes from the past. drift through the desert like unknown shadows. out here there's the most evil melody. and it keeps the most beautiful tone. come sing with the lonesome wolf. fly with the high flying bird. live with nature's secrets. where the dust runs cool through the wilderness. where the wind strikes your lucky tears. where time and place grow thin. like a cigarette burnin' to the ground. the road will lead you to the west. if you follow silence and beauty. it's where there's nothing to explain" http://www.myspace.com/talesofmurderanddust ... and you should also give The Estrangers a listen! http://www.myspace.com/theestrangers

Heavy Hills - Another MySpace find ...

"To shed all the illusory rights & hesitations of history demands the economy of some legendary Stone Age - shamans not priests, bards not lords, hunters not police, gatherers of paleolithic laziness, gentle as blood, going naked for a sign or painted as birds, poised on the wave of explicit presence, the clockless nowever. All loud on the western front."

The Pancakes

I think MySpace is the most amazing plaze ever when it comes to discover new music. Today I again found a strange and interesting band called The Pancakes. These freeks are from Germany and mixes a Spanish psychedelic trip with some kind of really acidious pop with all kind off strange stuff mixed in. Cool, damn cool.

And theres also a link to their "record label" called Kerntonshall - or what. Really fucked up site, but with lots of music to download. Anyway, pay them a visit.

Against Nature - Free music

"In July 2004, returning after a 13 year absence, the Salvation's Answer-era line-up of Revelation re-formed as Against Nature and began writing and rehearsing new music, just for fun."

Indie wanking The Cape May

I usually hate indie-"rock". Usually call it indie-wank. And indie is usually some wimpy wining shit. I hate Thom Yorke more than any other weak wanker. A grown man acting like a little girl. Anyway, the term indie is completely senseless nowadays. I mean, what kind of alternative music is indie today - well, by any means not Radiohead! Now my problem is, that I really dig some of the more indie-like kind of neo-psychedelic music that comes out these days. The Cape May is one of those bands. This is for sure pretty fucking indie, but it hits me somewhere right in my heart. Hmmmm ... fucking wankers, but pretty fucking great wanking!

Blood Ceremony - Hippie Horror ...!?!

"We're anti-war, but pro-horror. Standing before the crimson altar, our minds melted as we gazed into the cosmic eye. Now we slay the stages of the universe with heavy riffs, paranoia-inducing trills and '70s fills."

Okay, cool freaks. The music is a strange mix of Pentagram and Jethro Tull - doom'ish kind of hippie acid rock. You have to give it a listen!

Do you miss John Garcia?

Well, if so you can listen to Waxy out of the very, very true desert. They have Garcia, Mundell and Gary Arce joining them on the track "White Walls". Interesting new name on the evergrowing scene of desert rock.

You should also give Gary Arce's new project Dark Tooth Encounter a listen. Very experimental and freeky. Ohh yeah, the desert, the desert ...

Three of a kind in two days

Los Retardos: Stengade 30, March 14th Veterans from well known danish bands like Gorilla Angreb, Hellroute 16 and Hjertestop. They play so fucking tight it's almost unbelievable. Especially Lasse on the drums is really impressive. Cool but pretty short set as they were opening for Henry Fiats Open Sore (who didn't deliver!)

Masshysteri: Stengade 30, March 14th Next up that evening was swedish Masshysteri who played a little more indie inspired punk. Great energy and great bassplay one octave up to the guitar. Pretty catchy tunes and with a sound that was both retro and new. C.Aarmé: Lades, March 15th Okay, what a surprise. Met up with Lars from Heatfarm and we just went down to Lades to see if anything interesting was going on. And yes, something was on the loose down there. This band has a stricking energy and some really cool monotonous grooves almost stoner like. The vocal is snotty and obnoxious in a style like Snapcase. Great band!
