Makajodama

"This is the story; Mathias Danielsson used to play guitar in the band Gösta Berlings Saga, and when he felt that his part of the saga was over he looked for another forum for his ideas and sounds. Along the way he met Mattias Ankarbrandt who used to play drums in The Carpet Knights from Malmö and they immediately felt that they wanted to join forces. Through the walls in the cellar where Mathias' rehearsalstudio is he could hear someone practice violin everyday, and since some of his new ideas included strings he decided to find out who the player was. So after a month or so when the man was found, in the laundryroom, Johan Klint joined the band. It appeared that Johan knew a cellist, Karin Larsdotter, who was interested in improvising too so she came along as well. The idea is to mix written and improvised music. Not to original perhaps, but the instrumentation and the diverse musical traditions makes it something else... The album is mixed by Nicklas Barker of Anekdoten, and he's also the bassplayer when we're playing live."
